Level Up!

Friday nights 6:15 - 8:15pm:
We urgently require energetic and engaging volunteers who are happy to muck in and get involved in active games and activities at our weekly club for 11-13 yr olds. We have a wonderful bunch of  fun and outgoing young people who come to us on Friday nights to let off steam and enjoy relaxing with their friends. You will be getting involved in all sorts of madness with this lively lot, so will require lots of energy and enthusiasm.

Mentoring

1 to 2 hrs per week (times depend on availability):
We require male and female volunteers who have a keen listening ear to mentor young people both in our youth centre and in local schools on a weekly basis. Mentoring is a really direct rewarding way of helping young people who just need someone to talk to or a safe space to vent.

S~TEEM

Wednesday mornings 9am - 1pm:
We require a caring and encouraging volunteer for our self esteem course that runs on a Wednesday morning for 8 weeks at a time. This group is set up to help 11-13 yr olds from local schools who struggle with self-confidence and anxiety. You will be engaging with the young people during the set activities and discussions, and encouraging them as they discover more about who they are.

Young Carers

2nd, 3rd & 4th Thursday nights of each month 6:15 - 8:45pm:
We require empathetic and enthusiastic volunteers who can get involved in a variety of activities and tasks for our young carers club nights and trips. These can vary from washing up and prepping food to joining in with group games and crafts. The most important role however is for you to befriend and come alongside our young people so that they feel safe and have someone trustworthy to talk to.

Special Needs

Monday nights 7:30 - 9pm:
We require reliable volunteers for our 16+ special needs group on a Monday night. You will be interacting with our wonderful young people who may have a range of conditions such as autism, aspergers and downs syndrome. We often cook, play games and do crafts together, as well as go on outings and trips.

Other

Toilet Twinning:
We require someone who can come and talk to our young people about the toilet twinning scheme and inspire them to come up with ideas for fundraising so that we can twin our toilets to make a difference to others less fortunate.

Online selling helper (Ebay or Shpock):
We require someone who is savvy with selling on Ebay or Shpock. We often get generous donations of items that we unfortunately cannot use in the centre itself, so we sell them on Ebay or Shpock to raise funds for our projects.

Please contact us if you would like to volunteer for one of the vacancies above, we would love to welcome you to our ever growing team!
